Lazio are flying high at the top of the Italian league but Biancoleste midfielder Stefano Mauri knows and he team-mates must remain fully focused if they plan on staying there.
The Roman outfit visit Bari tomorrow looking to extend their five-game unbeaten run.
Mauri's goal handed Lazio a 1-0 triumph over Brescia in the last round.
"We have done really well in our opening six games,'' said Mauri.
"But it's too early to know how far we will go this season.
"We know that it takes very little for things to change and that is why we must continue to work hard, focus on ourselves and not on others.''
Eddy Reja's men have lost just once this season and lie two points clear of Inter Milan, Napoli and AC Milan heading into Sunday's contest at the San Nicola stadium.
Lazio have shown great balance at both ends of the pitch with eight goals scored and just two conceded in their past five games.
Bari will try to bounce back from their 2-1 loss at Genoa in the last round.
The Galletti go into this weekend's game in 11th place.
Giampiero Ventura's men have yet to lose at home this season.
"We want to do well following our defeat at Genoa,'' said Bari midfielder Nico Pulzetti.
"On Sunday we know we face a challenge against Lazio.
"Lazio this year is stronger and more united than with respect to last season.
"The team is playing better.''
The only player that Ventura will not have available is injured defender Andrea Raggi.
